1st day - MPO
Weeks before, Henry asked me join them to watch a chamber performance from MPO (Malaysian Philharmornic Orchestra) in KLCC. Then I see a good oppoturnity to join the bunch of talented people, perhaps we can exchange knowledge and have a nice conversation over musical thingy. Here are the people and their respective instruments (celloist seems to dominate):
Henry - pro-Piano, Cello, Double Bass
Zhe Shen - Piano, Violin, saxophone
Shu Wei - Cello, Piano, Violin
Denson - Er Hu
Mellissa - Cello
Timmy - Cello
Philip - Cello
Yun Chuan - Piano, Er Hu
Xuan Hui - Cello, Piano
Robert - Flute
Aamir - saxophone
Zhe Shen - Piano, Violin, saxophone
Shu Wei - Cello, Piano, Violin
Denson - Er Hu
Mellissa - Cello
Timmy - Cello
Philip - Cello
Yun Chuan - Piano, Er Hu
Xuan Hui - Cello, Piano
Robert - Flute
Aamir - saxophone
Chee Hong - saxophone
We entered the Dewan Filharmonic Petronas and I was quite fastinatied by the design...damn grand espeially the pipe organ that stands elegantly around 16 feets high in the wall! However the chamber performance is perhaps too artistic and contemporary for me to understand...The melody they played are strange to normal ears and I didn't get them at all. First was a duet, between a clarintist and a violinist with a pianoist doing the accompaniment. Not bad and they musician looks so elegant and noble. Next came the cello soloist, nervous and a bit uneasy. But she did quite well finally. Among those, it was the first time for me to see a Marimba and Tuba being played in a duet. The Marimba is like a xylophones with pipes, and a women played it with 4 sticks. The last performance was a duet of piano and violin. Again I don't really hear music in the entire repertoire. My first Nando's. How pathecic...

Soon after the performance we go around the complexes nearby: Plaza Low Yat and Times Square. Just walked around. Then I joined Chee Hong for dinner, along with Robert, Xuan Hui and Aamir. His generous dad treated all of us in a vegeratarian retaurant and I enjoyed the food there so much. In the car I realised that Chee Hong's family is from the SGM (Sokagakai Malaysia) which is of the same religion group with my mom. They are so surprized and happy upon knowing that my mom was from SGM and suddenly asked me a lots of questions.
I stayed in Zhe Shen's house that night. Days before Mel did ask me if to joined them skating in Sunway Pyramid, so after discussing the plans for the next day I decided to go Sunway. Shu Wei arranged all the transportation for us. After that I didn't sleep quite early as we (me and Zhe Shen) played Plant VS Zombies in his laptop until late midnight while Robert laid flat like roti canai in the bed! We discussed all kinda strategies, yet failed to withstand 30 streaks! No idea what was the time when we went to bed...
Second day - Sunway Pyramid
I woke up early 8 o clock. Shu Wei send me to Jelatek LRT station while sending Robert to Pudu with Zhe Shen. Cheryl waited me in the LRT station and I follewed her to Sunway pyramid to met with the Klang group - Mel, Timmy and Denson. Then 5 of us went to an Italian restaurant. Damn expensive and not so nice the food there. Cheryl complained of having diarrhoea after having the spaghetti the next day. After that we went ice skating...truely remarkable and enjoyable but I falled a few times. It was my second time skating...and the first was years ago in Japan. Timmy and Cheryl said that I learned quite fast, but still I have to thanks to them for teaching me. Skated until my legs and hand became ached after a few hours...coz keep grabbing people's hand when I am about to fall. Then we went Starbuck and I had my first Starbuck coffee...albeit it costed me a fortune I enjoyed that very much. Soon after I followed Cheryl back to KL then had instant noodle in Zhe Shen's house for dinner because I had spent too much that evening!
KL-trekking
Last day Zhe Shen and I went to KTG cenima. My first time. We watched Terminator the Salvation. Not bad but was quite different from the previous Terminator film. After the movie we went KL-treking. It was a bit crazy as we walked from KLCC to Pudu! But it was a nice route as we snaked through many complexes around KL and I get to see many things. We ate in small stalls around CheeChongKai. I finally went into the bus and leave KL around 6.30pm. Snoozed off in the bus...
Thanks friends for all the treats!

As you can see, piano is the damn most common instrument taken by potential musicians. LOL.
